The local dimension of Nazi terror
In commemoration of the anti-Semitic November pogroms of 1938, the 12th episode of our podcast #Bildungshappen is dedicated to the history of Jewish families in Salzwedel. On the basis of stumbling stones, we take you to their places of residence and report on their fates.
We would like to thank the Danneil Museum Salzwedel and the City Archive Salzwedel for their support in the preparation.
The creation of the 12th episode of the podcast took place within the framework of our project Landheld*innen and was funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth within the framework of the federal program "Demokratie leben!" as well as with funds from the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health and Equality of the State of Saxony-Anhalt within the framework of the state program for democracy, diversity and cosmopolitanism.
