Strengthening negotiation processes as an instrument of democratic community development and finding answers to racist discourses
"Learning Society" supported professionals in child and youth work as well as in school social and educational work through needs-based training and case-based coaching for a cosmopolitan democratic community. Participation was one of the key words for learning democracy. Social training in the juvenile detention center complemented the approach with the aim of imparting competencies that enable democratic action. Within the framework of the project the method case been published.
In the 2nd part of the project, the focus was on dealing with racism and other forms of group-related hostility towards people that lead to discrimination, exclusion and violence. Workshops and trainings were offered for this purpose. The toolbox "Intervention possibilities in youth and social work" was developed and tested and adapted with professionals. The result is the Method case II.
